Christof Kindlinger – “MEETING2”
Acrylic on canvas – Contemporary painting from Munich

“MEETING2” is an expressive work by German artist Christof Kindlinger that impressively showcases his characteristic visual language, which straddles geometric abstraction and painterly sensibility. In a composition of vibrant color fields, organic forms in pink, teal, yellow, and emerald green interact as if in a choreographed dialogue—they touch, interpenetrate, and overlap without ever losing their individuality.

Kindlinger’s “Slow Painting” technique is also evident here in the painting’s multi-layered composition: every brushstroke, every glaze, every layer of paint becomes part of a rhythmic interplay of colors that evokes sound. “MEETING2” is not a snapshot, but the result of a process of reduction, reflection, and deceleration—a visual encounter of colors, forms, and possibilities.

Through the deliberate use of transparency and contrast, the painting creates a subtle tension between closeness and distance, movement and stillness. The painting unfolds in an open space that does not appear enclosed but rather permeable—a characteristic feature of Kindlinger’s contemporary abstract art.
